What is the difference between TED and DOC?

Banco C6, like others, offers two options for bank-to-bank transfers: DOC and TED. Both have the same functionality, but there are some differences.

How do I make a TED or DOC transfer at Banco C6?

If you want to make a TED or DOC through C6 Bank, the process is quick and simple, done directly through the app. 

Remembering that you will need the code of the Bank that will receive the money.

• Access the “Transfers” option.
• Choose “other banking institution”.
• Follow the on-screen instructions, entering the amount, account/branch, and bank code. 
• Confirm the transfer.

How much does a transfer cost at Banco C6?

To make a DOC or TED at C6 Bank, you don't pay anything. 

According to the system, you're entitled to up to 100 free transactions on your payment account. If you exceed this number, you'll pay R$4 per transaction. 

C6 Bank Swift Code

If you need to receive money from international accounts into your C6 bank account, you'll need to have the Swift Code, or BIC, on hand. This sequence of characters is an international code that identifies the bank in question and ensures the money arrives correctly in the account. 

It works like this: 8 to 11 characters that are used to identify the bank, country, location and branch of the agency.

• Initial 4 characters (CSIX): bank code. 
• Next 2 characters (BR): country code. 
• Next 2 characters (SP): location code.

Since C6 Bank only has one central office to handle transactions, it does not have the final 3 digits, which are optional and change if there is a branch.

C6 Bank IBAN code

Another C6 Bank code is the IBAN. This code is designed for those who need to send money from their account to another account abroad. This code is unique to each bank and is used for international transactions. 

The IBAN code is defined as follows: the first two characters identify the country code (BR, in our case); the second two characters are the check digits that identify the bank. This numeric sequence is defined by the Central Bank. 

To get the C6 Bank IBAN code, you must follow the steps below: 

• Open the C6 Bank app. 
• Open Chat.
• Enter “IBAN Code”. 
• Follow the on-screen instructions to receive the code from your bank.
